Full disclosure, this is one of my favourite movies. There will be nothing but praise for LiLo in the blog! Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004) is one of many movies set in New York, but actually filmed in Toronto. And in the case of this location, the Toronto suburbs.
After their high school production of ‘Eliza Rocks’, Carla Santini (Megan Fox) hosts a giant cast party at her mansion. Of course, who shows up, famous singer Stu Wolff (Adam Garcia). When Carla realizes Stu is here to see Lola Cep (Lindsey Lohan), she tries to get him to wait outside. Of course, that doesn’t happen and everyone realizes Carla has been lying about the Sidarthur concert.
Doulton Drive is a very well known and affluent street in Mississauga. The entire strip is made up of amazing mega mansions, each extravagant in their own way. Many of which have been used in different movie and tv show productions.
This residence is very secluded. There were reports that the original owner was (allegedly) a very private person. It is hard to see the house past the large trees surrounding the property, and impossible to see through the entrance gates which are always closed. Our photos are mostly from a previous real estate listings.
The Carla Santini house is currently for sale! Although the current listing is private, and only ‘interested buyers’ are able to access the price, I was able to find an old listing to get the scoop on the house. In 2017, this 3-acre property sold for $10,000,000 CAN. It is a 7 bedroom, 8 bathroom house with an in-ground pool, a 12 car garage, private tennis courts and 2 golf putting greens. So a really casual, and totally affordable house.
In Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, Carla’s father is the lawyer for the band Sidarther. In the movie, Sidarther is one of the biggest bands in the world, it would make sense that Mr. Santini is a well paid, high powered lawyer.
